Thoroughly perished fuel lines to the carbs<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/mcnab-racing.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_3713.jpg\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1096\" width=\"750\" height=\"1000\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mcnab-racing.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_3713.jpg 750w, https:\/\/mcnab-racing.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/img_3713-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So whilst we still had some juice left in the battery, decided to run a compression test.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the engine having sat for so long without running would probably guarantee some interesting numbers, but ideally I wanted to understand if the head gasket had gone when the engine last overheated.<\/p>\n<p>Results, all values +\/-5psi<\/p>\n<p>Cylinder 1 &#8211; 125psi<\/p>\n<p>Cylinder 2 &#8211; 125psi<\/p>\n<p>Cylinder 3 &#8211; 75psi<\/p>\n<p>Cylinder 4 &#8211; 125psi<\/p>\n<p>Hmmm&#8230; could just be a sticky valve&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Looking back through my photos and videos, realised I missed quite a significant part out.
